What is the Taking Flight Collective?
This pilot mentorship program, called Taking Flight Collective was created by the Center for Irish Music to challenge and inspire some of our most talented and dedicated young musicians during the covid-19 pandemic and to help them launch their music careers. The program includes weekly classes, a 9-month honors project, and two solo performances that will be broadcast virtually.
The Taking Flight Collective is concert is presented by the Center for Irish Music, and sponsored by Thomas Dillon Redshaw in memory of his late mother, Elizabeth Dillon Redshaw. This concert is also sponsored by the Celtic Junction Arts Center who have donated their venue.
We are seeking additional sponsors for this year-long project. Inquiries can be directed to CIM Executive Artistic Director, Norah Rendell.
