Taking Flight Collective Virtual Concert | April 16th, 2021
An evening of locally-produced traditional Irish music! The Taking Flight Collective is a cohort of 3 award-winning musicians and Center for Irish Music students, Joe De Georgeo (fiddle), Ian McKenna (accordion) and Adrienne O’Shea (flute & vocals). They will be joined by guitarist and bouzouki player Brian Miller, who is also their mentor for this year-long project.
Spring Recitals & Adult Student Open Mic | May 2nd, 7th & 9th, 2021
Twice a year, CIM instructors and staff host recitals to showcase the tunes and songs our students have been working on throughout the year. Recitals are open to the public, and each recital is followed by a potluck clebration.
Midwest Fleadh Cheoil | June 4-6, 2021 CANCELED
The Midwest Fleadh Cheoil is a regional Irish music competition held every spring and is a qualifying competition for the All Ireland Fleadh, or Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann.
Minnesota Irish Music Weekend | June 10-14, 2021
A 3-day traditional Irish music festival including workshops, lectures, sessions, and a concert with master artists from around the world, presented by the Center for Irish Music.

FREE annual event celebrating all things Irish at Harriet Island in St. Paul. You can find CIM students and instructors on various stages throughout the weekend.

Volunteer Thank-You Party | October 2021

Celebrate the talents of our Advanced Youth Ensemble at this annual holiday concert. All proceeds go to the Travel Fund, to make the community trip to the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil accessible to all CIM students.

Éigse CIM, A Gaela Event | February 2022
The Center for Irish Music's annual fundraising event, including dinner, a concert by CIM instructors, and a silent auction. Consider sponsoring a table of ten in support of the tradition!
St. Patrick's Day Virtual Celebrations | March 2022
The Irish Music and Dance Association's annual St. Patrick's Day celebration and Day of Irish Dance, two family-friendly events held at the Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul. CIM hosts an information booth. CIM ensembles and instructors perform throughout the weekend.
